
EKA representatives implement various activities in Astana, Kazakhstan
From March 10 to 14, 2024, representatives of the EKA University of Applied Sciences, implementing the international project "UnWaste" (Advancing circular economy in partner countries by development and implementation of Master programme "Waste management"), visited Astana, where they met with partner universities from Kazakhstan, to jointly carry out various project-related activities.
During four intensive days, a "Train-the-trainer" session was implemented, as well as several important discussions about the content and methodology of the master′s study program to be implemented in Kazakhstan′s higher education institutions, mutual recognition in partner universities, related research, internal evaluation and quality control. The communication and results promotion plan of "UnWaste" was also discussed, as well as other issues related to project coordination and further activities.
During the meeting, the Republic of Kazakhstan was represented by three partner universities - A. Baytursynov Kostanay State University, Sh. Ualikhanov Kokshetau State University, Saken Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical University.
The EKA University of Applied Sciences was represented by EKA vice-rector for sciences and international cooperation, Dr. oec. Jelena Titko, "UnWaste" project coordinator from EKA Dr. oec. Kaspars Šteinbergs, visiting professor Dr. oec. Tatjana Tambovceva, head of the development of the EKA Scientific Institution, Dr. oec. Jevgenija Dehtjare, director of the EKA master′s study program "Circular economy and social entrepreneurship" Mg.oec. Edgars Cherkovskis, director of the EKA study program "Management Studies" Mg. iur. Natalja Verina.
