As already known, each year brings a lot of changes. The year 2017 is not an exception – it has already made changes in the Student Council of the University of Economics and Culture (EKA SP).

On January 12, 2017, the elections of the EKA SP Board had started with previous board’s substantive report for 2016. Later all member of the EKA SP participated in the elections and voted for the most appropriate candidate for each position. After the poll the new board of the EKA SP has become known – in 2017 Rolands Juris Zibinis will be the Chairperson of the EKA SP Board, Direction of Culture will be managed by Jūlija Carjova, Public Relations and Information - Madara Dundure, International Direction - Madara Mūrmane.

We were pleased to see quests from LU SC, RTU SC and LSA, as well as EKA SP honorary member Mārtiņš Pavlovskis and long term members Jolanta Sondore, Kārlis Piņķis, Anna Kleinamne and Annija Minalgo.

Thanks to all candidates for their courage, daring and readiness to make a contribution to the development and growth of the EKA SP! We wish the new EKA SP Board successful co-operation, a lot of creative ideas and even bigger achievements!
