Today L.Turusheva, assoc.professot and director of PBSP "Translation and Interpreting", and representatives of students took part in workshop "Translator, change up!", organized by the European Commission′s Directorate-General for Translation. 

During the workshop we learned about new trends in the field of translation in the European institutions as well as employers′ views on the situation in the translation sector. Topical issues were discussed with Iveta Rancane-Abarte, head of the European Commission′s Directorate-General for Translation Latvian-language unit 2, Baiba Aleksejuka, Head of the Council of the EU Directorate-General Translation Latvian Language Unit, and Ilze Dika, European Parliament Latvian translation unit Quality coordinator.
