
EKA students are invited to apply for a grant for the implementation of innovative product ideas
Thinking of motivating support for the hospitality industry, raw material supplier and wholesaler Gemoss has launched a grant tender. The aim is to support and educate young entrepreneurs by allocating € 10,000 to implement innovative food ideas.
The grant program is designed to help create a new product produced in Latvia with market potential and to support the development of innovative products from cereals, legumes, nuts, seeds and dried fruits.
Anyone can participate, regardless of previous experience, professional training and the legal status of the applicant. The prize fund of the grant program provides 5,000 euros for the first place winner, 3,000 euros for the second place winner and 2,000 euros for the third place winner. In addition, the products will be included in the assortment offered by Gemoss in stores, significantly expanding the possibilities to sell it in a wider market.
The ideas submitted by the contestants will be evaluated by a team of culinary experts with a chef, marketing representative, quality and sales specialists, financial analysts, etc. professionals in their field. This will ensure the widest possible expert assessment, opening up greater opportunities to create a sustainable and market-competitive product.
The deadline for applications is 15 January 2021.
