Students and the teaching staff are invited to submit their ideas for names of lecture rooms
Attending a lecture in an auditorium named after your idea – sounds great, right? EKA University of Applied Sciences will soon move to the new building, on the 3rd floor of which there will be several auditoriums, and names are currently being sought for them. The management of the university invites every student, as well as the teaching and faculty staff, to send in their ideas for the names of the said rooms by November 20. The most suitable and creative ideas will be implemented.
Knowing that EKA students and lecturers are very creative, some conditions are given for the idea competition. In order to motivate everyone to strive for new achievements and successes, we invite you to send in names that reflect the achievements of Latvian entrepreneurs, statesmen, scientists and representatives of other fields! It doesn′t matter if you can think of an achievement recorded hundreds of years ago or a few months ago, whether it was in business, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, tourism or any other field. If, in your opinion, this is an ambitious achievement that has made the name of Latvia sound outside the country′s borders and is a reason to be proud, then it will probably adorn one of the new auditoriums very soon.
In total, 10 ideas will be selected as part of the competition. All ideas will be evaluated by a jury created especially for this competition, which will consist of representatives of the management of the EKA University of Applied Sciences. It is planned that each of the new auditoriums will be decorated with the relevant name, but the auditoriums themselves will have designer information stands, which will contain more information about the specific achievement, in order to provide inspiration and motivate everyday students to strive for new successes!
The people of Latvia have proven their abilities and capabilities at all times - it′s no secret that the designer of the Porsche company was a Latvian (Anatols Lapiņš), Valters Caps created the Minox camera, Levis jeans rivets were invented by a Latvian, and these are just a few examples. This is the time to show your abilities - we′ll be waiting for your ideas until November 20. We invite you to send a short description of the achievement and an idea for the name of the auditorium electronically to oksana@augstskola.lv.
