The EIT HEI Initiative Pilot Phase Conclusion Event took place in Brussels on June 3-4, 2024 and EKA University of Applied Sciences participated in it, as a part of the project "Building Forward Better’ Ecosystems - Harnessing the Power of Networked Communities to scale-up and accelerate the impact of entrepreneurial universities – Network IQ Alliance".

The university was represented by dr. Jevgenija Dehtjare, the head of the development of EKA Scientific Institution. The event brought together 250 representatives from the 65 projects of the HEI Initiative`s Pilot Phase. It represented an important moment for the Initiative and its community, celebrating our accomplishments and building on the collective vision for the next phase. 

The EIT HEI Initiative: Innovation Capacity Building for Higher Education has been designed with the aim of increasing innovation and entrepreneurial capacity in higher education by bringing together HEIs in innovation value chains and ecosystems across Europe.
